Intructors

  • Josh Schmidt

    Yoga Director

Josh (he/him) has been teaching yoga and meditation for over a decade. What started as a routine movement practice to help maintain balance with weight-training and sports has turned into a daily exploration of being in greater flow with life. Josh believes yoga is beneficial on many levels, but you’ve got to practice to feel the benefit. In addition to teaching yoga at MetroRock, Josh offers Life Coaching & Meditation Coaching for folks who want to expand their sense of wellbeing in every aspect of life.

  • Parker Jennings

    Yoga Instructor

Parker (she/her) has been practicing yoga since 2015. What started as a casual activity has led into a deep practice that has helped her to reconnect her mind and body. She began as a dancer at age 3 and now is a runner, hiker, climber, yogi, and a big fan of anything that gets her outdoors. Parker received her 200 HR YTT from My Vinyasa Practice in February of 2023 and has been teaching remotely and in Brooklyn, NY for the past year. She is now located in Chelsea, and is a working actor in Boston. Parker hopes that stepping onto the mat in her class will allow you to drop into your body, find freedom, connection, and strength, both inside and out.

  • Melissa Tan

    Yoga Instructor

Melissa (she/her) has been practicing yoga since 2023 and her desire to learn and grow as a yogi flourishes every time she steps on her mat. Melissa has found that yoga is a way of easing her anxiety and slowing down. In 2024, Melissa completed her 200-hour YTT at Rishikesh Vinyasa Yoga School in Rishikesh, India, "the birthplace of yoga." She believes yoga to be a holistic practice for healing the mind, body, and soul. She hopes that her classes can help others experience the positive changes that yoga has provided for her, and most importantly, be a safe and approachable space for everyone to move, heal, and be themselves.
