Recommendations
It is a good idea to avoid wearing very short shorts for climbing. Harnesses tend to cause chafing on bare skin. Pants, medium or longer length shorts or leggings are more comfortable in a harness.
Bring a refillable water bottle. We have a filtered water refill station available in the facility. Help us reduce plastic waste.
Please arrive on time whenever possible. Some of our most anticipated games are played on days when camp opens earlier than the gym is open to the public. We want to jump right in!

Recommendations
Avoid wearing very short shorts for climbing. Harnesses tend to cause chafing on bare skin. Pants, medium or longer length shorts or leggings are more comfortable in a harness.
Bring a refillable water bottle and extra water for those hot summer days. Campers can fill it before leaving MetroRock.
Please arrive on time whenever possible. Travel time limits climbing time, so outdoor camp aims to leave as soon as everyone is ready to go.
Some of the locations we travel no access to public restrooms. Introduce your camper to outdoor bathroom use, remembering the principles of Leave-no-Trace.
In situations where a camper needs to find an indoor restroom and one is not immediately available, encourage them to ask our counselors. We accommodate as best we can. We carry additional toiletries and hygiene products. Note that our Pawtuckaway State Park trip has no public restroom access nearby the climbing site.
COVID-19
MetroRock no longer requires masks to be worn. However we request that any camper who may have been exposed to COVID-19 to wear a mask and get tested before coming to camp. If your camper is sick, please refrain from sending them to camp that day.
We encourage all who are able to get a Covid-19 vaccine to do so and help reduce the spread in our community.
All MetroRock staff are vaccinated against COVID-19.
Inclement Weather
MetroRock will make every effort to make sure that camp is open and running on time every day. In the event of inclement weather, please check for emails detailing whether MetroRock will have a delayed opening or if we will be closed.
